Job Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Academic Advising within the Office of Undergraduate Student Affairs, the Academic Advisor supports students throughout their academic journey by providing academic advising, resources, and programming to promote student success, retention, and a timely degree completion. We are looking for a student-focused person who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. You will foster an inclusive, supportive environment for students of diverse backgrounds and will work with staff and faculty to strengthen the campus community. Responsibilities include offering academic support, connecting students with tutoring and other resources, and developing responsive programming to meet student needs. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities. You will have the potential for a hybrid schedule with a remote option up to 2 days/week (with Wednesdays being a required in-office day). Remote work agreements are reviewed annually and are subject to change dependent on our needs of the hiring department, throughout the course of employment.

Additional Information

The general salary range for this position is $55,000 - $62,000, with eligibility to participate in the school's 2026 merit program. An offer may be extended outside of this range based on equity, experience, knowledge, and skills for the position. You are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor understanding and transparency throughout the recruiting process. Benefits are included with this position.

There is the potential for us to hire up to three Academic Advisors with this position.

This position is included in the bargaining unit represented by the University Staff United (USU), which represents bargaining unit members in all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.

Background Screening
